Meatball Pasta

Classic Italian meatballs with spaghetti in tomato sauce

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan
  • 1/2 lb spaghetti
  • 12 oz marinara sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, garlic, and Parmesan
  2. Form into 1-inch meatballs
  3. Brown meatballs in a large pan over medium heat
  4. Add marinara sauce and simmer for 20 minutes
  5. Meanwhile, cook spaghetti according to package instructions
  6. Serve meatballs and sauce over pasta
  7. Garnish with fresh basil and extra Parmesan

Tips

  • Don't overmix the meatballs or they'll become tough
  • Reserve some pasta water to thin the sauce if needed
